Public Notice Date, Event Date, Record Date: Three Louisville Civic Clocks

A notice date, meeting or event date, and later record date answer different civic questions. This English-only guide helps Louisville families preserve the right date and source.

Direct sources. Clear status. Practical public information.

Reviewed November 6, 2026 · Louisville, Kentucky · English-only public access guide. Civic pages often place several dates near one another. Each date answers a different question.

Three clocks

Clock Question Evidence
Public notice date When and where was an announcement made available? Notice page, posting timestamp, deadline, agenda, or publication record.
Event date When did the meeting, hearing, closure, service change, or other event occur? Official schedule, live page, attendance/access record, or recording.
Record date When was a later record created, filed, posted, corrected, or approved? Minutes, ordinance, order, report, archive entry, or correction history.

Seven-field civic date card

  1. Issuing office and exact page or portal.
  2. Record type: notice, agenda, event, recording, minutes, action, or correction.
  3. Date, time zone, and any deadline.
  4. Meeting/event identifier and responsible body.
  5. Current state: proposed, scheduled, occurred, recorded, approved, amended, cancelled, or unknown.
  6. Stable link, retrieval date, and accessible alternate route.
  7. Next human check when the page, date, status, or consequence is unclear.

What this does not establish

A notice does not prove an event occurred. A recording does not by itself prove final action. Draft minutes are not approved minutes. An approved record does not establish motive, fairness, legality, impact, or agreement by every participant. Translation can improve access but does not replace the controlling English-language record or responsible authority.

Official routes

Louisville pages may change or move. If a route is unavailable, record the access gap and verify through the responsible office rather than guessing.
