Di Tran Appointed to Louisville Mayor’s International Advisory Council – A Voice for Immigrants, Small Business, and Innovation

Louisville continues to stand as a beacon of opportunity for immigrants and refugees, and one of the strongest voices in that movement is Di Tran, founder of Louisville Beauty Academy and longtime advocate for immigrant entrepreneurship. Tran has recently been appointed to serve on the Mayor’s International Advisory Council (MIAC), a council established to advise Mayor Craig Greenberg and the Office for Immigrant Affairs on the needs, challenges, and opportunities of Louisville’s diverse immigrant and refugee communities.

The MIAC consists of community leaders representing multiple countries and cultures, working together to strengthen communication between Metro Government and immigrant groups. Members help identify needs, recommend policy improvements, and foster greater understanding across the city. Meetings are held quarterly, with the next session scheduled for August 25, 2025.

Ribbon Cutting Marks a Milestone for Asian-Owned Behavioral Health Services in Louisville, KY

Louisville, KY – Today, a vibrant crowd gathered to witness and celebrate the ribbon-cutting ceremony of DDM Behavioral Health Services, a remarkable addition to the Louisville community. This center marks a milestone as it is the first Asian-owned Health Service center in Louisville, Kentucky. DDM Behavioral Health Services, founded by Patricia Kim, a Korean immigrant, is situated at 2210 Meadow Drive, Louisville, KY 40218. The center’s mission is to provide person-centered behavioral health services to clients from all backgrounds, ensuring that they have access to the resources and support needed to improve their quality of life.

The ribbon-cutting event was graciously hosted by DDM Behavioral Health Services and featured a prestigious lineup of attendees. Di Tran, CEO of Viet Bao Louisville, Delighted by First Turn Club Experience at Churchill Downs on “Champions Day

On May 3rd, 2023, the “Champions Day” at Churchill Downs was a day to remember for Di Tran, the CEO of Viet Bao Louisville, and his wife Vy Truong. The couple has been attending the event for the past few years as members of the Rotary Club of Louisville, one of the largest Rotary Clubs in the world.

This year’s event was especially memorable, as they were introduced to the brand new First Turn Club facility. The service was exceptional, with all-inclusive food and drinks throughout the event. The spacious dining area was a welcome addition, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all attendees. The proximity to the horses was a highlight of the day, allowing viewers to have a close-up view of the majestic creatures as they raced and walked by. The beautiful backdrop of the Twin Towers of Churchill Downs made for some stunning photo opportunities, adding to the already memorable experience.

The weather on this day could not have been more perfect, with a cool breeze, blue skies, and the sun shining. Di Tran was especially thrilled by the excitement of the races, almost winning the trifecta twice, missing by only one horse. The energy of the crowd was electric, and the day was filled with joy and laughter.
